Family tree of inherited traits
Inherited traits are characteristics that are genetically inherited or passed down from generation to generation. Some examples are: the color of your eyes, dimples, curly or straight hair, the shape of your nails, your height, longer second toe, among many others.
You will choose one inherited trait and research on both your mom and your dad‘s side of the family, to see who possesses this trait. Then, you will create a family tree where you portray every member and make a distinction as to whom possesses that trait.
The following are examples of family trees. They do not show a particular inherited trait. Take a look at them for inspiration and decide what materials you will need. Bring them to class on Tuesday, Feb. 10th 2015. You will also get points for creativity.
