Notes of all of the topics seen in class can be found in the Language Arts notebook (purple), and in the Practice Books.
1. Students should be able to recognize Action verbs (page 67), Helping verbs (page 68) and Linking verbs (page 69).
2. Students must recognize and be able to use Subordinating Conjunctions (page 93) in a sentence.

3. Students must recognize and be able to use Coodinating Conjunctions (notes in purple notebook)
-and joins together.

-so gives a conclusion.
4. Students must be able to recognize the difference between a Direct and and Indirect Quotation. (page 79, 80, 81)
5. Students should use proper punctuation in a Direct Quotation. (115, 116, 117 PB)
6. Students should know what are common and rpoper nouns. P106 PB
7. Analagies are difficult to study for, but some examples are seen on p.111 PB

1. The Berlin Wall - Its use, and dates of existance and destruction.
2. Hitler as chancellor during WWII.
3. What was life like in Germany before, during and after WWII
4. Students should be able to name the “Allied“ and “Axis“ countries fighting during WWII
5. Name 3 German composers (pages 97, 98 and 104)
6. Creator of the printing press (93 and 94)
7. What did the Grimm brothers do? (page 107)
8. What was the “Hitler Youth“ program and what kinds of activities did they perform? (pages 77 and 78)
9. What was Oktoberfest. What clothes and food were enjoyed there.
10. Who was Sigmund Frued and what were his acheivements.
11. Martin Luther and his acheivements.
12. Draw the German flag.
